Our client system process water in a closed recirculated system for the purpose, fed through CNC water jet cutting for production.

As part of the nature of the process a large amount of suspended solids and debris enter the water system and as the water is recirculated bacterial material can proliferate relatively quickly.

Some of the issues being experiences were

• Less consistency with product quality due to bonding issues.
• Potential fouling of high pressure jets, causing production issues
• Increased maintenance/cleaning labour costs.
• Increased water usage as the system needed to drained down and cleaned with increasing regularity.

Solution

The Vortek combined filtration/treatment system was connected into the system, recycling the water.

In a matter of hours, clean water was restored and running through the system which had an immediate impact on product quality.
