Problem
A high level of very fine (<10 micron) suspended solids were present and recurring in the chilled process water systems at our customers site. The build up of these solids on heat transferring surfaces was effecting the water system ability of control tooling temperatures, temperature control is an integral part of this particular food product manufacturing process.
Solution
Following our visit to site, IWF proposed the use of the Velocitek OVF system to be connected in side-stream as a method of “polishing” the water and removing suspended solids throughout the system. Following the successful results after the first installation the client then went on to install an additional 3 units for installation on the rest of their systems for this application.
