Specially Designed Velocitek System for Continuous Filtration

Problem
Suspended solids present in water taken from a drinking water supply for sample water use was causing issues within the water treatment works. This was initially solved with the use of inline cartridge filters. Due to the level of solids required to be removed, the frequency for cartridge change outs soon became an issue from an overall performance and cost point of view.
Solution
Following our workshop trial of the Velocitek System, IWF designed and manufactured a “specially designed” Velocitek system to enable continuous filtration even during self-cleaning operations. This provided a fully automatic solution, providing the client with reliable and continuous solids removal with minimal operator intervention.
