They had an ongoing issue with suspended solids fouling the process pipework and tooling of the moulding machines.

This was causing breakdowns and affecting product quality.

The customer had already installed a series of manual bag filters but these were not performing effectively and were still creating the same problems. They were failing to filter to the required degree and were not suitable for this application.

For this application, we proposed side stream as the most effective way to filter to this grade as this requires a smaller filter compared to a full flow /inline alternative.
