Application
| At a large manufacturer of plastic containers and bottles, water is used in the manufacturing process for cooling the moulds. This ensures the plastic products set at the required temperature.
This re-circulated water is continually pumped around the system, so it becomes contaminated with fine solids. This causes fouling and blockages in the small bore pipework, resulting in a reduction in product quality. When the pipes become blocked, the effectiveness of the chilling system is also reduced and has an impact on system performance. Flow rates within the process are 6m3/hr Filtration grade required <1micron |
Solution
| Velocitek OVF 350 was installed to filter the process water, removing all fine, suspended solids to ensure it is clean when flowing through the chilling process pipework.
